In the design of steel structures, corrosion control is extremely important and is also the easiest to be overlooked. Reasonable anti-corrosion design can not only give full play to the corrosion resistance of steel but also make up for the shortcomings of the structural performance itself. The anti-corrosion design of steel structures is related to the following aspects.

1. Surface treatment of steel structures: During the rolling process, a uniform oxide layer is produced on the surface of steel after heat treatment; at the same time, during the processing of steel, welding slag, burrs, oil stains and other pollutants are often produced on the surface of steel. If these oxides are not carefully removed, they will affect the adhesion of the anti-corrosion coating and the service life of the coating. The quality of steel surface treatment is sometimes even more influential than the performance differences of the coating itself, and should be taken seriously.

2. Reasonable material selection: There are many varieties of steel on the market, and different types of steel need to be selected according to different use conditions. The degree of corrosion of steel structures is expressed in terms of corrosion depth, usually in units of mm/a, and the calculation formula is: K is usually related to the area and time of the steel. When designing the corrosion resistance of steel structures, the uniform corrosion depth of the steel should be considered, and the thickness of the structural components should be taken into account. 3.
